Street interview ads in Manchester
Manchester is one of our two default production locations, alongside London. One hour of filming here produced twelve ads for a wellness brand. Five survived and made about $164,000 in the first 30 days. Here is how that shoot ran, and how a filming day works.
/ Where we film
High footfall streets, on purpose.
We choose Manchester's busiest streets because the format needs a constant supply of strangers willing to stop and answer a question on camera. More footfall means more people approached, more concepts filmed and more usable answers in a single day.
It also means the people who stop are a fair sample of who sees your ad in a feed: ordinary people, not actors, giving an honest reaction on the spot.
/ How a filming day runs
One day, a whole library of ads.
Concepts first
The questions and angles are written before the crew lands in Manchester, so filming time goes on strangers, not on deciding what to ask.
Casting on the street
A human crew approaches people on the day. Everyone on camera signs a release, with paid usage rights across Meta, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms.
Filming and editing
Each concept is filmed with different people, then cut into hook variations. Test is 3 concepts with 4 hooks each, Scale is 8 concepts with 5 hooks each.
/ Pulse of Potential
One hour, twelve ads, five survivors.
Pulse of Potential, a wellness brand, booked one hour of street interview filming with us in Manchester. Published with permission from Maria. That single hour produced twelve finished ads.
Not every ad from a shoot day is meant to survive. Seven of the twelve were switched off once the data came in. Five carried the spend that mattered: €53,112.46 (about $57,000) at a 2.84 return, producing about $164,000 in revenue in the first 30 days.
That's the shape of the format. Plan for a batch of ads from one shoot, not a single hero video, and expect most of the volume to come from a handful of winners once the weaker concepts are cut.
The full account breakdown, including the screenshots behind these figures, is on the Pulse of Potential case page.
/ Delivery
14 days from shoot to finished ads.
Test and Scale packages deliver in 14 days from the Manchester shoot. Premier delivers the first 50 ads in 14 days and the full 100 by day 28. Every package includes organic engagement cuts, direct response versions with an end card, and unlimited edit revisions.

/ Why Manchester works
Enough footfall, in less time.
Manchester gives us the same busy, mixed streets we need without the size of London. That's part of why Pulse of Potential's whole shoot fit into a single hour: enough people passing by to cast twelve ads worth of concepts quickly, without a full day needed to find them.
It's also why Manchester sits alongside London as a default production location rather than a one off. A city with reliable footfall means we can plan a shoot day with confidence, rather than hoping the street is busy when the crew arrives.
/ Real reactions, not actors
Nothing on camera is generated.
Every face in a Manchester shoot, including the twelve ads filmed for Pulse of Potential, is a stranger stopped on the day by a human crew, with a signed release for paid usage across Meta, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms. Nothing is AI generated and nobody is reading from a script we wrote for them.
That's what makes a result like the Pulse of Potential account credible rather than a claim. The screenshots are published, and the return came from real strangers reacting to a real question, not from a manufactured or synthetic clip.
/ What you get
A batch, not a single ad.
A Manchester shoot day is built to produce a library, not one hero video, in the same way the Pulse of Potential hour produced twelve. Test covers 3 concepts with 4 hooks each, 12 ads in total, with one included reshoot. Scale covers 8 concepts with 5 hooks each, 40 ads, with the raw footage delivered and one included reshoot. Premier covers 20 concepts with 5 hooks each, 100 ads, with the full raw library, B roll, and two included reshoots.
Not every ad from a batch is expected to survive, as the Pulse of Potential numbers show. We recommend the right scope for your test on the call.
/ Before the call
What to have ready.
It helps to know roughly what your account currently spends on paid social, and which of your existing ads are starting to fatigue. That's enough for us to talk through a first test, agree the testing period before launch, and recommend the right scope for a Manchester shoot.
